MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Robert G. Porsche, President of General Plastics, Inc., recently announced the addition of Angelica Vasquez to the corporate roster as Customer Service Representative. “Angelica’s tenacity, endless energy and exceptionally positive attitude make her the ideal individual for this challenging and extremely important position within our company,” Porsche commented.
Vasquez’s primary mission is to provide customers with a swift and seamless transition from quoting and setup to production and delivery. This includes serving as the single point of contact for the rapid resolution of all project related inquiries of accounts within her area of responsibility. In addition, Vasquez will utilize her well-honed organizational skills to coordinate the efforts of management and staff to ensure scheduling demands are invariably met.
When interviewed about her new position, based on her background, Vasquez was quick to differentiate General Plastics from its competitors. “I have been immediately impressed with the manner in which General Plastics is able to fulfill the diverse and ever evolving needs of its customers. Vasquez received her Bachelor’s degree in Business, with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Originally from Colombia, Vasquez previously served as Bi-lingual Consumer and Outreach Specialist for the State of Wisconsin. She also amassed extensive experience in the thermoplastic industry through eight years’ tenure at Allen Extruders, a custom thermoplastic sheet extruder.
Demonstrating an outstanding commitment to the Hispanic community, Vasquez is an active member of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, the Latino Entrepreneurial Network and Latino Arts. Easily contributing more than 16 hours per month to a variety of philanthropic programs, Vasquez currently serves on the committee of the second annual Brides’ Walk, an event focused on raising awareness of and supporting the services offered by the UMOS Latina Resource Center. “I believe it is my duty to support events and organizations that strengthen our community, encourage sound business growth and promote positive opportunities for young adults,” Vasquez stated.
